Article: Linda DeLoatch: A New Look at Hair
Written by Lisa Richmon
A consultation with Linda DeLoatch is a life-changing experience–a big “first” step for anyone struggling daily with hair loss. Linda helps each client by determining if her situation is temporary or if she’s ready to consider a lifetime investment in hair replacement. If a client is confused by what she’s read on the Internet, Linda distills that information and tailors it appropriately to her unique situation. Whatever decisions are made, Linda compassionately guides each woman through a sacred process in a private studio located in a quiet corner of Virginia Beach.
“By the time she comes to see me, my typical client has lived with declining hair for seven long years. Her battle ends when she enters my private studio and tells me what is going on with her hair. First I listen. Then I visualize new possibilities based on her unique situation. When she’s ready, I communicate a vision for her transformation through customized hair replacement.” Linda DeLoatch—owner, Images Unlimited
Linda
works with people who experience:
- Female
Pattern Baldness: Moderate thinning and overall unhappiness because the hair is
not performing at her normal level of expectation. - Hair
loss due to medical treatment, often, but not always, resulting in the need for
a wig. - Alopecia—Ranging
from one spot “focal” point to the entire head and body.
Linda’s
Customized Hair Solutions: Freedom, Flexibility—and Normalcy:
Customized Hairpieces
Responding t0 different stages of hair loss, Linda designs each piece to blend with the portion of the client’s hair she identifies with as her “good” hair. It takes true artistry and vision to design a hairpiece that restores self-confidence. Linda masters this visual challenge with an eye on fit, density, color, cut, wave pattern and style. A successful outcome is an under-the-radar custom design that nobody notices, one that inspires a new sense of freedom and lightness while exposing positive qualities of her hair.
Wigs
Linda’s eye for style helps preserve a significant, lifetime investment in a full wig. By customizing color and cut options, clients maintain the flexibility to explore new looks and feel normal for the first time in months or years. Revitalizing options include highlights, lowlights and custom cuts.
Linda DeLoatch WOMEN IN PROFILE
Linda DeLoatch was born to serve. Talk to the client who just hit rock bottom with her hair or the sleep-deprived new mother in the adjacent yoga studio where Linda teaches basic breath work. Mention her name to family members of cancer patients she comforted during years as a volunteer with Lees’ Friends. Take one look at the woman who rebuilt her life trusting Linda’s vision for change. Clients, yoga students and teachers – and a circle of good friends—all know why multiple astrology charts point to a life dedicated to a greater good.
After high school graduation in Franklin, Linda left home and become a licensed hairdresser. Almost overnight she grew to love the business of hair and opened her own salon, a first in a male-dominated industry. 29 years later, Images Unlimited is tagged the area’s only hybrid hair salon—a hair styling salon + hair replacement studio, with a small cult following. In 1984, intrigued by an ad she received in the mail, Linda was the only person in Hampton Roads who attended a professional seminar on hair loss. This sparked a spontaneous meshing of the need for a local expert in hair replacement systems with Linda’s
entrepreneurial spirit. In order to maintain a high level of expertise, Linda is a lifelong student who continues to attend national conferences and seminars
around the country.

TESTIMONIAL:
“Confidence in my appearance, and particularly my hair, has soared since
my return to Hampton Roads. Due diligence and luck led me to Linda after a 15
year search covering both coasts. Now, I want to spare anyone struggling with
hair loss at any stage the frustration and despair I endured trying to find a
true expert with integrity.” Kat K.
